Blackouts
Some blackout poetry for your Friday...
I did something a bit different for Friday Poetry. I needed a digital break this week and I’ve been kinda sick this week too so this seemed like a fun thing to try. The first time I saw black out poetry was Austin Kleon. I was like “that’s cool” but never tried it. So I finally did. It’s surprising harder than I thought it was but I think I did ok for the first round of tries. Will definitely try again.
Here is what I came up with (not in any order):
So what you think? Would you try it?
Thank you for spending your time with these words. Writing is how I make sense of the knots and the beauty of this life. I hope this piece met you somewhere real. If it sparked something, let me know in the comments. I collect echoes. And if you know someone who might need this, share it so the reflection can keep traveling.
You can also support in other ways: consider buying me a coffee, becoming a paid subscriber, or checking out one of my books. Every bit helps me keep creating and connecting.

I love these! I want to try but not sure what book I would feel okay sacrificing...
