I'm so grateful that we have voices like Sage's, which provide a reasonable and rational alternative to cancel culture. A constructive solution is necessary in which we acknowledge that everyone has flaws but insist on repair and accountability for those flaws. Her writing provides step-by-step solutions to this, and many other problems.
Thank you, A.M. It’s an honor to be called “reasonable and rational,” especially as a very sensitive and easily moved to emotion artist. I work to be integrated with all these characteristics and I appreciate the way you make me feel seen.
MJ, thank you for providing an additional platform for artists' words and works to become highlighted to the public. I believe this is a truly generous gift from you to the world. Your generosity gives us insight by opening our eyes to artists like Sage. I have known Sage for over 20 years with our friendship having brief silent gaps. However, when that silence breaks, it's as if it never happened. We've always been connected by our love and appreciation of one another which allows us our own FREEDOMS to be on our own personal journeys, yet still knowing that sister friend is always by my side. Sage truly is an inspiration with her wisdom, knowledge and massive integrity. Her non-judgmental attitude makes it comfortable to be yourself around. I give gratitude for her inspiration of creativity in my own life. If I have never expressed this to you personally, Sage, I thank you for being such an authentic and loyal sister-friend.
Oh Teri! You have me in tears over here. Thank you for this beautiful love and support. I thank YOU for being such an authentic and loyal sister-friend! I learn so much from our differences and take such cozy comfort in our similarities. So excited to see you in April!!!
Great article MJ! Your questions and Sage Justice’s answers were thought provoking and interesting. Sage’s answer to Question #3 especially piqued my interest. It made me think how we often focus on all of the people we personally know who helped us on our creative journey, instead of those who may have inspired our art deeply from a young age. I enjoyed reading about those who have inspired her. I am curious and excited to read the bonus chapters for the second edition of FREEDOM, once it’s been released! Thank you MJ for inviting Sage Justice and thank you Sage for giving us a glimpse into the workings of your soul. May your work, Sage, as an activist/artist continue for a long time. For I know you bring so much hope, joy, and love to a lot of people.
Great article. Sage is someone who truly "walks the walk" in a most authentic manner, and does so consistently.
YES we love an authentic walker!
Thanks, Ken; I feel the same way about you as a human and an artist!
Sage Justice is brilliant as was your interview with her. I hope she rises greatly as a woman to listen to and emulate.
Thank you Liz. She is quite amazing
Thanks Liz. I read your first book and was enamored by your charm and insight. I really appreciate your kind words.
